After CD Castellón, RC Deportivo de La Coruña was the other team that achieved direct promotion to the Second Division. Another historic of our soccer that achieves a not easy step, the return to the silver category from Primera RFEF. Our players Pablo Vázquez and Berto Cayarga, who accepted the challenge of dropping down to the bronze division to be part of a project in which the goal is for the Galician club to return to the elite as soon as possible, have been part of this achievement.
Pablo Vázquez has been one of the protagonists of the Riazor team’s season. Indisputable throughout the season, the center-back scored five goals and became an important player both on and off the field. He brought his experience in the second division and from the first day he took on the role of Deportivo’s rearguard. Berto Cayarga left behind the maximum competition in Poland to play in the First RFEF, knowing the demands of a club like Deportivo. In the decisive stretch he gave his best performance, a moment in which the team was firmly on the road to promotion.
From here we congratulate our players for achieving this promotion, transcendental for the future of RC Deportivo and that places it one step away from the First Division.
